Rice Cinema & Rice Space Institute Arts Initiative to present world premiere of ONE SMALL STEP

Wednesday, October 8, 2014
7:00 PM  to 9:00 PM

Film Auditorium  Rice Media Center
Rice University
6100 Main St
Houston, Texas, USA

Commissioned by the Rice Space Institute Arts Initiative, ONE SMALL STEP follows the journeys of NASA’s Apollo missions to the moon. On the 45th anniversary of man’s first steps on the moon and the 25th anniversary of the acclaimed documentary film FOR ALL MANKIND, artists Peter Lucas and Camilo Gonzalez have creatively transformed that film’s beautifully restored NASA footage and recordings of astronauts’ recollections into an engaging, new experience, and an allegory for all “giant leaps.” The film is approximately 30 minutes in length. There will be a Q&A to follow the screening with artists Peter Lucas and Camillo Gonzalez, and a meet & greet reception in the Visual and Dramatic Arts Gallery. FREE ADMISSION
